The mission of Badass Grandma Ventures is simple but profound: My team and I are committed to ending child victimization and the generational cycle of violence by teaching parents and their kids how to keep them safe from bullies and predators.

I’m a kid safety crusader and award-winning author of three books that teach parents how to empower their kids to protect and defend themselves from assaults and abuse. I also created the Heroic Parenting 101 online course that provides parents with the tools, tips, and advice they need to best protect their children. 

Now my company is developing an app that targets the kids directly through a fun, engaging, and informative game that presents with a wide variety of body safety challenges (e.g., what to do if someone tries to show them porn or asks them to send compromising images of themselves online).

My target market consists of parents and other caregivers of children 0 to 18 who want to do everything in their power to protect their children from bullying/cyberbullying, sexual abuse, online dangers, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and navigating sexual consent.

My aim is to stop the generational cycle of violence against children. If we can break that cycle, we can create healthier kids and adults, and stronger families. This will lead to healthier, safer communities.

I started my business because I know first-hand how child abuse can destroy lives. A survivor myself, I became a champion for others who had been victimized, running a child advocacy center, and serving as Director of Victims Issues for the NC Attorney General’s Office. Over my 34 years as a victim advocate, I've helped thousands of survivors claim their power too.
